Cuban Porcine Sector Reports Record Production |

Havana.- Cuba's agricultural sector supplied 170,000 tons of pork in 2014, the largest production ever in that sphere.
According to experts, that volume exceeds by some 19,000 tons the output reported in 2013, as a result of the diversification of animal feed.
In addition, production was higher than estimates, as the plan was 155,000 tons, although it is still insufficient to meet the demand from the domestic market.
There is a movement of producers sponsored by the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) who are working to produce over 100 tons of pork.
Moreover, experts from the Institute of Porcine Research visit producers regularly to promote better techniques and experiences.
