Cuban Chess Players Prepare for World Cup |

Havana.- Cuba will participate in the upcoming edition of the World Cup of Chess by teams in the Armenian city of Tsakhkadzor.
The Cuban delegation is made up of Grand Masters (GM) Leinier Domínguez, who has an Elo score of 2,729 points, Lázaro Bruzón (2,691), Yuniesky Quesada (2,637), Isam Ortiz (2,625) and Yuri González (2,557).
Players from Russia, Ukraine, India, United States, China, Israel, Egypt, Hungary and Armenia will also participate in the first-level event.
Russia will be the defending champion as the country that most titles (four) has won in these events, in addition to two titles won by the Soviet Union.
Cuba has participated in five cups and Domínguez has been present in two, while Bruzón and Quesada have competed in one.
