ECOTUR Prepares New Options in Eastern Cuba
Monday, March 2, 2015

Havana.- The travel agency ECOTUR, based in eastern Santiago de Cuba province, is preparing new options for international tourism.

According to experts, the objective is to bring tourists closer to the history of coffee farming in the eastern mountain range centuries ago.

The option consists of a tour from old coffee farms in Gran Piedra to the Fraternity farm, in the town of Ramón de las Yaguas.

Those sites are part of the Archeological Landscape of the first coffee plantations in southeastern Cuba, which was declared Humankind's Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

ECOTUR also offers programs such as La Ruta Rebelde (The Rebel Route), the Panoramic road tour from Guamá municipality to the Turquino caves, and the Gran Piedra-Baconao Jeep Safari.
