High-Denomination Bills to Circulate in Cuba Soon |

Havana.- Cuba's financial system is putting the finishing touches on the launch of high-denomination bills to meet the growing demands from the domestic economy.
Authorities from the Central Bank of Cuba pointed out that the new bills will have a face value of 200, 500 and 1,000 Cuban pesos.
The measure is aimed at speeding up commercial transactions and reducing risks by using large amounts of low-denomination bills.
The new bills will be circulated by banks and exchanges houses in cases when large amounts of money are needed.
Automatic cashiers will not deliver these bills for now, and low-denomination bills will continue circulating.
