Monday, January 26, 2015

Havana.- Cuban athletes are training hard to compete in major events this year, including the Pan-American Games in Toronto, Canada, and the World Championship in Beijing, China.

Cuban experts pointed out that seven athletes have already qualified for the continental games, in addition to 15 minimum results achieve prior to the World Championship.

Regarding the latter, the experts noted that the goal is to compete with athletes who have real options to win medals or to be among the finalists.

In addition, this year's schedule includes the Games of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas (ALBA) in April, and the world relay championship.

Other major competitions in 2015 are the Pan-American Junior Championship in Canada and the World Cadet Championship in Colombia.
