Cuban Feature-length film Exhibited in Cuban Theaters |

Havana.- The Cuban feature-length film "Vestido de Novia" (Dressed as a Maid), the first fiction motion picture directed by Marilyn Solaya, will be exhibited this month in Cuban movie theaters.
The film, which won the Popularity Award at the 36th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema of Havana, stars in by Laura de la Uz, Isabel Santos and Luis Alberto García, as well as Jorge Perugorría, Mario Guerra, Alina Rodríguez, Manuel Porto, Pancho García and Camerata Vocal Sine Nomine, among others.
According to Solaya, the film is inspired in her documentary "En el Cuerpo Equivocado" (In the Wrong Body), which tells the story of the first transsexual person in Cuba.
In that regard, she noted that she used a real situation and human drama, as well as the experiences of these women, their husbands and relatives.
