EcuRed Promotes Knowledge in Cuban Society |

Havana.- The so-called Enciclopedia Cubana en Red (EcuRed), officially launched in December 2010, is aimed at promoting knowledge in Cuban society.
According to statistics in 2014, more than 137,000 articles were published and 32 million visits, with nearly 19,000 contributors, were reported last year.
Furthermore, quality and thematic diversity were improved, with emphasis on articles on Cuba and its geographic and linguistic environment.
At present, EcuRed has a large number of thematic portals and groups of contributors by related topics, taking into accounts users' interests.
In addition, there is a portable application of the encyclopedia that is available in more than 600 Computer and Electronic Joven Clubs and schools nationwide.
