Cuban Hotel Sector Grows
Monday, December 22, 2014

Havana.- Cuba's hotel sector has grown dynamically in 2014 to meet the demand from tourism.

As part of that strategy, the hotels Blau Arenal and NH Capri, the latter being the most emblematic establishment in Cuba, opened this year in Havana.

In addition, works are under way to remodel the hotels Armadores de Santander, Palacio O'Farril and Palacio San Miguel, which will add 92 rooms to Havana's Historic Heart in the next few months.

Other hotels opened during the ongoing winter season in Cuba are Residencial Habana, with 612 rooms; Meliá Jardines del Rey, with more than 1,176 rooms, and Valentín Perla Blanca, on Cayo Santa María.

Works continue in small hotels with high cultural values in patrimonial cities, where tourist arrivals have increased considerably over the past few years.
