Cuba to Host Golf Tournament on Columbus Day |

Havana.- The Varadero Golf Club, located in the Cuban coastal resort of the same name, will host the 13th Tournament on Columbus Day.
The event, scheduled for November, will also have a second day of competitions in Havana.
The golf course, which has excellent conditions to hold the event, is located in Peñas de San Bernardino and was designed by architect Les Furber, chairman of the Canadian company Golf Design Services.
The golf course has a combination of styles, including the classic one, with broad streets delimited by trees and large unprotected greens.
It also has the so-called target golf, with narrow lanes and protected greens, surrounded by sand traps and saltwater inner lakes that are connected to the sea, something that is not commonly seen in the world.
