Sunrise Airways to Fly to Eastern Cuba
Monday, October 27, 2014

Havana.- The Haitian company Sunrise Airways will start up operations in a new commercial route between Port-au-Prince and the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba.

Airline executives pointed out that it will be the first regular passengers' service to Cuba, as part of the company's strategy of regional growth.

In that regard, they noted that Cuba is a key destination to increase operations, considering the cultural and historic links between the two countries.

Sunrise Airways noted that it will fly twice a week between Port-au-Prince and Santiago de Cuba, using 19-seat Jetstream 32 EP planes.

The company was founded in 2010 and relaunched for regular and charter operations in December 2012, with fights between Port-au-Prince and Cabo Haitiano.
