Improved Rice Processing in Western Cuba

Havana.- The western Cuban province of Matanzas will improve its infrastructure to process rice for the domestic market.

In that regard, experts mentioned the construction of an automated mill that can process up to five tons of rice per hour.

The modern plant will allow supplying better rice to the domestic market.

The modernization works in the rice industry this year include the construction of four silos and the assembly of a second drying line to process 55 tons of rice.

The development program also envisages the construction of three other mills in Matanzas to increase the region's industrial capacity.
