Cuba Increases Production of Machine-Made Cigars |

Havana.- Cuba has increased production of machine-made cigars, considering the growing demand on the domestic and international markets.
According to statistics from the sector, 105.7 million cigars were made in the first months of the year, including 17 million units in June and July.
Machine-made cigars are exported to Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Greece, Canada, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Africa and the Middle East.
They are made using high-quality raw materials from Pinar del Río at the Havana-based Internacional Cubana de Tabacos S.A. (ICT).
In addition, an average of 16.3 million cigars were packed from May to June, accounting for a 34-percent increase compared to the same period last year.
