Cuba to Compete in World Pelota Basque Championship

Havana.- Eighteen Cuban pelotaris will compete in the 17th World Pelota Basque Championship, scheduled for September en Toluca, Mexico.

The Cuban delegation will include Lisandra Lima, Yasmary Medina, Daniela Darriba and Leyanis Castillo in women's frontenis and 30-meter rubber paddle, and Daniel Alonso, Yoan Torreblanca and Armando Chappi in the men's team.

In the in hand trinquete, the delegation includes Darién Povea, Carlos Manuel Rivera and Dariel Leyva, while Camilo Castillo and Iván Torres will compete in the share category.

In the 36-meter event, Cuba will be represented by Azuán Pérez, Rafael Fernández, Frendy Fernández and Anderson Jardines, who will compete in the short paddle and leather ball categories.

Edgard Monier and David Montejo will complete the delegation in the pelota basket modality.
