Improved Air Connectivity in Chile
Monday, August 18, 2014

Santiago, Chile.- Chilean aeronautic authorities granted relevant certificates this year to the airlines Gol (Brazil), Air Europa (Spain) and Peruvian (Peru).

The list of airlines also included KLM (the Netherlands), as well as the company Tampa Cargo, meaning that the country's air connectivity has improved.

In addition, authorities are analyzing the request submitted by United Airlines, which is expected to start flying between Chile and Houston, Texas, in late 2014 or early next year.

Other requests have been submitted, like those from the charter company Chilejet and the Argentinean companies Andes Airlines and Arjet, Bolivia's Amazonas, and the cargo firms CargoLux (Luxemburg) and Pan Air Cargo (Panama).

Additionally, authorities are weighing the entry of ONE Airlines SPA, a Chilean company that will operate domestically, and Alas Andinas.
