Domestic Tourism Gains Ground in Villa Clara
Monday, August 18, 2014

Havana.- Domestic tourism has increased in hotels in the central Cuban province of Villa Clara, where some 2,000 Cuban tourists stay overnight every day during the summer season.

According to sources from the tourism sector, that trend has benefited hotels such as Playa Cayo Santa María and Hanabanilla, the latter located by Cuba's only intra-mountainous lake, in the Guamuhaya mountain range.

Guests also stay overnight at centers like La Granjita y Caneyes, in the city of Santa Clara.

That result responds to systematic promotion targeting the domestic market to attract tourists to beautiful beaches, history and culture in cities and exuberant nature.

Moreover, over the next few weeks, new actions will be taken to promote offers in hotels on the northern keys.
