Domestic Tourism Grows in Central Cuba
Monday, August 18, 2014

Havana.- Domestic tourism has gained ground in hotels in central Cuba, as part of the country's potentiality to develop the leisure industry.

According to experts, the presence of Cuban tourists has increased in hotels such as Club Amigo Ancón, Costasur and Brisas Trinidad del Mar.

In that regard, they recalled that in 2011, Cuban vacationers ranked fourth regarding the number of visits, in 2012 they moved up to the third position, and they have remained in the second place since then.

That trend turns domestic tourism into a safe market, so tourism authorities are working to improve the quality of services to guarantee the presence of Cuban clients.

The hotels in Trinidad generally receive tourists from Havana, Mayabeque, Varadero, Cárdenas and Sancti Spíritus.
