Stem Cell Therapy Progresses in Central Cuba |

Havana.- Specialists for the province of Villa Clara, in central Cuba, make progress in the researches related to stem cell therapy.
Experts were able to isolate adult stem cells from the very patient, and nearly two dozen such procedures have been performed in a year.
The abovementioned result benefits the Ernesto Guevara heart hospital, as well as the specialties of hematology and orthopedics at the José Luis Miranda pediatric hospital and the Arnaldo MIlián Castro clinical-surgical hospital, respectively.
The procedure is performed through modern equipment installed in only four medical universities in the country: Havana, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba and Villa Clara.
In addition, adult stem cells are isolated from the very patient to be used in dentistry researches.
