Direct Flights between Cuba and Peru
Monday, March 30, 2009

Havana.- The airline Transportes Aéreos Centroamericanos (TACA) will operate a new route between the capitals of Peru (Lima) and Cuba (Havana).

The new route will have a frequency of three flights a week between the two capitals.

Precisely, the Cuban Tourism Ministry's strategy is to boost relations between Latin American countries, especially with those with air connections to the Caribbean Island.

TACA executives said some 360 passengers are expected to fly to and from Cuba every week.

For their part, Peruvian diplomats in Cuba pointed out that the new route will foster trade, tourism and collaboration between the two Latin American countries.

TACA, which has Salvadorian capital, flies to 39 destinations in 22 countries in North, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
