Pullmantur's Fleet Grows
Monday, November 17, 2008

London.- The cruise company Pullmantur acquired the Sovereign, thus expanding its fleet to seven ships.

The group's cruise ships sail on the Baltic, the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Caribbean, Brazil and Argentina, and will travel to the Pacific soon.

The Sovereign is Pullmantur's largest ship. The 268-meter-long ship can carry 2,700 passengers and can reach a maximum speed of 19 knots.

It has 12 decks for passengers, a seven-story atrium, gymnasium, spa, two swimming pools, restaurants, cafes, bars, salons, shops, theater and showroom.

The company has its own ships, and commercializes land circuits in Europe and Africa. It also has an airline that operates charter flights to and from the Caribbean.
