Havana.- A CD-ROM on the history of judo in Cuba was launched recently as an acknowledgment of the development of that sport in the Caribbean Island.
The project, designed by Antonio Becalli, contains information about the evolution of that sport, its founders and its development in Cuba.
It also shows the most relevant results by Cuban judokas at international competitions, and contains video clips and photos.
The work, according to experts, is a very useful educational tool and a source of knowledge about a sport that has won many Olympic and world medals for Cuba.
The CD-ROM contains 144 tables, and dozens of photos and video clips of Cuban judokas from 1956 to 2007.
The multimedia will be used as a teaching material at sports schools throughout the country.
