Natural Paradise in Pinares de Mayarí
Monday, January 15, 2007

Havana.- Mayarí, in eastern Cuba, is a breathtaking natural paradise for both national and foreign tourists who visit the region.

The road to Mayarí is flanked by valleys bathed by the rivers Mayarí, Nipe and Guaninicum.

Vacationers can stay at Villa Pinares de Mayarí, which is 684 meters above sea level on the Mensura Hill.

The establishment offers 29 wooden cabanas equipped with air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, and other facilities such as restaurant, bar and other amenities for guests to enjoy their vacations in direct contact with nature.

Watching birds and several endemic animal species, as well as enjoying the region's exuberant vegetation, are the main attractions for tourists who visit Pinares de Mayarí.

In addition, vacationers can visit the farm Los Exóticos, which offers several cabanas, a restaurant serving typical Cuban food, a lookout and a natural swimming pool.
