Description
It is the place where Christopher Columbus first arrived in Cuba on October 28, 1492, and where the “First encounter between two cultures” took place. The mountains near the bay form a mountain range from the east to the west, standing out among them Gibara and Mezquita de Colon. Valuable architectural sites have been found near the bay.
