Terms of rental
Rex does not confirm car models but categories, so instead of this model, you can be offered a Hyundai Azera, Audi A4 2.0 or similar, depending on availability.
» The hirer accepts to pay to REX: (Rex does not accept payments with credit cards from US banks)
- all additional charges, including insurance charges ($30.00 CUC daily insurance), fuel, etc.
- 300.00 CUC deductible for any kind of damage in case of insurance, if he/she is responsible for such damage.
- all costs inferred by driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medicines, etc.
- all costs inferred by drivers different to the those include in the rental agreement.
- If you pay in cash, you should deposit $ 500.00 CUC as a guarantee.
- All reservations confirmed at international airports will be charged with a supplement of CUC 20.00, which will be paid upon signing the contract to rent a car.
In order to rent a car, you will have to present a credit card as a form of partial or total payment. Cars will not be rented if you plan to pay in cash only.
Comprehensive insurance (CDW): Not included. Covering total or partial theft, collisions, overturning, damage caused by natural disasters and, in case of an accident, damage to the car and third-party risk. Insurance fees depends on the car rented.
Cash or credit card deposit. ($250.00 CUC). Not included. REX accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, EUROCARD and JCB.
At the beginning of the rent, the client will be charged for the fuel in the tank (it will always be full) at the price established in the country: special gasoline at 1.10 CUC per liter and diesel at 1.00 CUC per liter). At the end of the rent, the client must return the vehicle with the tank as empty as possible.
You can designate up to 2 additional drivers (other than the one signing the contract), paying $ 10.00 CUC for each of them.
The renter has to present the car rental a valid driver license (minimum two year experience) and the license must be valid at the time of rental and remain valid throughout the rental period. It is requested a minimum age for the renter of f 21 years.
Vacacionar Travel will not be responsible for the inconvenience due to not fulfilling these terms and will not refund payments.
The client must show his passport and driving license.
The client, hereinafter referred to as ‘the hirer’, has to return the car in the same condition as he received it.
REX will take all necessary precautions in order to guarantee the car’s perfect technical condition, and can, therefore, not be held responsible for any unforeseen defect nor for the consequences of such a defect.
The hirer will have full responsibility for the following types of abuse:
- paid transportation of people or goods.
- to transport animals or food.
- traction of another car or trailer without permission by REX.
- participation in races, endurance or speed tests, etc.
- use of the car by unauthorized people.
- transportation of inflammable or explosive materials.
- use for illegal activities.
- driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medicines, etc.
The hirer is not allowed to change or modify in any way the car’s interior nor its exterior. Maintenance and repair will only be done by REX or by parties appointed by REX.
The hirer is responsible for the use of the appropriate type of fuel.
In case of an accident or theft, the hirer will:
- immediately notify the police.
- fill out the damage claim form and notify REX.
- take all possible safety measures to avoid additional damage to the car.
Charges will be applied when the car is dropped off or picked up in certain cities.
